You know what? I'm missing EverQuest. Not enough to go back to it, but enough to really wish that it was worth going back to. There's no way I'd bail out of World of Warcraft to go back to EQ, though. The WoW graphics are better and, as a solo player, the gameplay is so much better it is ridonkulous. I was a solo druid in EQ for several long and tedious years before being introduced to WoW. The ratio of amount of exp gained vs. amount of time played was pathetic, and if I somehow got killed then I basically lost an entire afternoon's worth of progress. It was insane. It made me angry and on several occasions almost got my computer tossed out the window. While yes, I do sometimes have 10+ hour marathon sessions of gaming, mostly I'm a casual player--especially now that I have a house to take care of. Plus, I play video games specifically to avoid interaction with other humans, and so avoid grouping as though it would give me the plague. In EQ that would mean needing to play for 12 hours or so to see the tiniest tick of progess on the exp bar (only to see that tiny tick of progress wiped out if I died), where as in WoW I can play for half and hour and actually accomplish things.
....aaaaaand that's all I got. Suppose it's time for breakky, a cup of tea, and...*sigh*...getting my day started.
